Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is included with uniform?: The BYBSA Rec Baseball uniform includes a jersey, pants and a hat. You will need to purchase your own socks and belt.
  • What equipment is needed?: Every player will need their own glove, cleats, heart guard, protective cup and water bottle. We highly recommend that all players purchase their own batting helmet, bat and bat bag.
  • When will we be contacted by our coach?: Coaches will reach out to the players on their teams by April 7th to let you know when and where they will be practicing and other important info about the season.
  • BYBSA Opening Night Celebration: The BYBSA Opening Night Celebration will be Friday, April 5th at the Brighton Sports Complex. There will be a movie, bounce houses, home run derby, food, and "Meet n Greet" with coaches
  • Where will practices be?: Teams will practice at one of the city parks or schools in the Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson and Ft. Lupton area or in one of our Indoor Practice Facilities in Brighton.
  • When will teams practice?: Teams will practice 2 times per week. Practices can be Monday-Friday between 5pm-9pm or anytime on Saturday & Sunday depending on what works best for coach.
  • When can teams start practicing?: BYBSA Rec teams will be able to start practicing as early as April 8th.
  • How long will practices be?: Outdoor Practices will be 1-1/2 hour long and indoor practices will be 1 hour long.
  • How many games will be played?: Teams will play 10 regular season games plus a single elimination End of Season Tournament
  • Where will games be played?: Games will be played in Brighton, Ft. Lupton, Thornton, Strasburg, Bennett and Byers.
  • When will games be played?: Games will be played 1 night per week starting the week of April 22nd. 2 games will be played on a weekend TBD as part of the BYBSA Double Header Days.
  • When is the End of Season Tournament?: The BYBSA Rec Baseball EOS Tournament will be played on June 29th-July 1st in Brighton & Ft. Lupton.
